Adalyn Farm is a small farm in Washington, owned by husband and wife, Adam and Joscelyn Stevens. They sell organic honey, free range eggs, and humanely raised, free range poultry and livestock.
The focal point and inspiration for this logo was a cake that Joscelyn baked for her daughter’s birthday. I traced the picture with pencil and imported it into Photoshop. The left leg of the letter “A” was edited to enlarge and dramatize the shape of a “J”, paying tribute to Joscelyn.
I also took elements (in this case the vines and initials) and created a smaller logo. The small, square logo is perfect for use in social media profile images (sometimes referred to as an avatar or gravatar), as well as for small accents on package labeling.
